Leta had been staring out through the open window, watching the world wander by. It had been quite the stressful few days and she should have been relieved to finally be out of her stressful environment, her mind couldn’t stop wandering. She didn’t
They were so close to getting caught. They very well still could have been actively being chased. For all she knew her father or the man he was trying to marry him off to, some Roosevelt Nott, a crude, dirty man though he had paid a fair sum of galleon, was tracking her with his cold unboding and all too old eyes. Her father said it was too much for what she was but took it for good measure. Her and Newt had been communicating, trying to break her out, though she had lost hope, but he had gotten to her just in time the night before the wedding the two of them fleeing to some safe house, not without a fight though, the cruel face of Nott and her father still deeply engraved into her mind as she and Newt flew away.
She hadn’t slept in days due to complete and utter terror that when she did she would have any freedom when she woke up. Now that she was out and in the same bed as the one she loved, Leta thought that peace would finally reach her slumber. Naturally, fate had other plans and the moment she closed her eyes she had one of the worst nightmare she had ever had in her entire life. It was much better for her, then, to stay up, as to not disturb Newt.
She was moving to get out of the bed at the morning light to make breakfast when Newt pushed her back into the bed. “Newt?” Her voice was tired, eyes most certainly were as well, though she tried to hide behind a smile and a small peck to his nose before sitting up, “I will be back. You need sleep. I was just going to start breakfast and some tea.”
