The talk || Kieran + Annie
Annie sat on the beach, staring out at the sea. "Something doesn't feel right today, Finn," She mumbled, ignoring anyone that was walking the length of the beach, or any families that were sat in the sand. Most of them knew not to bother her by now, or they should've, at least. It had been years since Finnick passed away, the war finished, but Annie would still sit in the sand and talk to the ocean each day, whether it be for hours, or just minutes; because that was where she believed Finnick was. The ocean was their safe place, it'd of made sense.
"I don't know what it is..." She knew she had to leave soon, considering she had been gone all day long, and she didn't want Kieran to be worried about her. He had his own life he had to live, he shouldn't of had to ever worry about his Mother's sanity. But she knew he did, sometimes. On her bad days, especially. "I'll be back tomorrow," She stated as she pushed herself up, having to start the short walk back to the path that led to the victor's village. She hesitated, though, twiddling with her wedding ring, that never moved off her finger. "I love you, Finnick."
Within minutes she was back to the house. Before entering she brushed the sand off her legs, not wanting to track any in. The second she was clean she was inside, calling out, "Fishy? Are you home?" Something was off, as of late, but she couldn't place it. She just hoped it wasn't something bad, that Kieran wasn't hearing any silly rumours about anything.
