ROBBLENA OTPOTPOTP
@theyoungwclf : merman robb swimming up to theon's lil boat in the iron islands ( he may or may not be attempting to sink him )
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐒 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐌 𝐁𝐔𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍. theon has some time yet before the storm and takes to the sea in a small fishing boat. the ship is equipped with all he would need to fish , but he finds himself simply enjoying the solitude.
the grey skies have the sea looking dark. couldn't see nearly as far under the water and the mystery of it all reminds theon just how dangerous the sea could be. and powerful. and it's a wonder his house isn't feared as much as they ought to be when they dominate the seas as they do. he supposes he shouldn't wish for war , but he wouldn't mind giving them a taste of salt as a reminder.
his trance is broken by the sound of some disturbance at the hull of his ship. theon is too far out to have to worry about rocks. they're far enough north to not have to worry about sharks regularly , but their appearances still remain a possibility. he stands up from his bench. takes the careful step he needs to take in order to grasp the mast of the boat. he surveys the water with no hint as to what could have hit his boat. there it is again , the sound. another two steps and he's gripping the edge , peering over. eyes squinting in an attempt to make out any sort of shape in the water.
when he sees it , or rather him , he jumps back in fear. ❝ what the hell? ❞ back against the mast now. theon wants to think it was just some poor sod's body that was banging against his boat , but he can't deny that the face he had seen is very much alive. and attached to a swimming body , from what little he could make out. and if he's alive , how is he alive out here? and how long had he been out here? and what a strange way to ask for help. theon is breathing normally again. he grabs a paddle and moves back toward the edge. looks over but doesn't see anything.
❝ is anybody there? ❞ eyebrows furrow. a chill creeps up the back of his neck. ❝ stop fucking around , if you need help then show yourself. ❞
i love stealing all your men

It was all going so well until the Sons of the Harpy decided to show up, catching all of them by surprise and sending the Unsullied into a frenzy as the fighting begins. Ser Barristan and Grey Worm give the orders, the old knight looking toward Robb to say without words to get Daenerys out of the streets to the safety of her quarters in The Great Pyramid at once. The former King in the North grabs the woman by the wrist and unsheathes his sword, dragging her away before she can even attempt to protest. While he has been here for almost a month now, she still worries if he knows his way around well enough to get them back without incident or running into any more adversaries. Robb runs and so does Daenerys, glancing over her shoulder to see that a few of the harpies are on their trail. "We're being pursued!" she calls to the Stark, who once they exit the narrow alleyway takes them straight into a large crowd of people. While at first they keep up, the panic of the citizens causes them to cause a near stampede which helps Robb and Dany get lost within them. Just a few more streets over and they'll be back at the pyramid, the young wolf not letting up on his grip even as they have to pause to hide — pressing the queen back against a wall as his arm goes across her protectively. Trying to catch her breath, she can't help but stare over at him as he prepares to fight the men who are once again on after their mark.
@theyoungwclf whispered: "I've never felt so peaceful before."
❅ ⸻ Despite how tumultuous the political and military climate had become in Valisthea, there were moments in which Jill couldn't help but marvel at how peaceful and serene some stretches of land appeared to be. Standing outside of Northreach with Drake's Head reaching for the skies in the distance, one couldn't help but to find themselves forgetting that the Mothercrystal was actively sapping the land of its life force.
A sentiment which was now being perfectly echoed by Robb. Jill didn't answer him right away, seemingly lost in the shining beacon of light that grew ever brighter as the sun began to set, as though it meant to guide weary travellers to the protection of its everlasting light.
The silence didn't last between them, a light shake of her head given as though she were on the verge of falling asleep on her feet. ❝ That's how most people feel when looking upon one of them. Peaceful. I wonder if it is by design or if those that cannot wield magic are simply in awe of it? Whether we Dominants and Bearers cannot help but feel peace when looking upon the source of our gifts? ❞
She wouldn't know. Could no longer recall a time when she didn't know she had magic inside of her, that Shiva slumbered and waited until she had been needed most to awaken and protect her vessel. ❝ It almost seems a shame that we have to destroy it. The landscape will be forever changed once we do. So, hold onto this peaceful feeling. Remember it. ❞
‘ i was living for the hope of it all. ’
"And has it paid off?" Trysta turned to look at the man, a small smile playing on her face. "I'd say it has. Looking around here, at the way people look up to you.."
"I know it's been hard, keeping that hope alive but you've managed somehow. For your people, for the North. Despite the hardships that have been coming your way since everything that's happened to you. It's honestly quite astounding, I don't know if I could have done the same."
❛ please don't go, i can't handle losing you too. ❜ @theyoungwclf
𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 , 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀. a litter of pups once so large , now dwindled down to two. arya was gone , bran and rickon burnt by theon , jon beyond the wall. robb and sansa stark remained , the last living proof of ned stark's legacy. he was king in the north , but what good was it? they had no true home anymore , not when iron born littered the north. war camps became their haven , the nomadic life of the road , setting up and dismantling on an almost weekly basis. war was no place for a lady , catelyn told her. sansa had to agree , though she felt safer here than she ever had in king's landing , and selfishly , she didn't wish to leave robb once again. fear convinced her leaving would result in his death , then she truly would be alone in this world.
the three starks dined together in robb's tent , as they often had. though an argument came to a head once more when sansa's adamant refusal to leave the camp angered catelyn. it was no use , her mother had already concocted a plan. sansa was to remain in riverrun under the protection of the tullys. she had little interest in this , in fact she had told her mother as such , which resulted in the argument that followed. sansa had stormed off , seeking solace in her tent. she knew there was no use in fighting it , when catelyn stark made up her mind , there was no changing it. in this regard (among many others) , sansa was her spitting image.
robb's entrance causes her to look up , though she doesn't move from her spot , curled up in a blanket large enough to drown her. she's silent for a moment , struggling to find proper words that don't make her sound like she's having a childlike tantrum ( shouting it's not fair for all the northern troops to hear surely is not a good look for a princess of the north )
❝ i do not wish to leave , though i do understand mother's worries. ❞ catelyn had two children left to her , it is of course reasonable she'd wish to do what it takes to guarantee their safety. ❝ yet , i feel safest here. with you , with the army. ❞ sansa pauses for a moment , preparing herself for an admission that bares a heavy weight. ❝ i fear that if i leave , i will never see you again. you are all i have left in this world. i would rather die here with you than endure a lifetime without you. not when we've lost everyone else. ❞ their father had always warned , the lone wolf dies. it's the pack who survives , robb was her pack. the two of them , even jon too , if he ever wished to break his vows.
❝ you are king , robb , ❞ sansa begins , and it is moments like these that remind her , despite all that she has endured , she is still a young girl. there are still whims of childhood desperation lingering behind the solemn and broken face of a teenager who had grown too fast to survive. ❝ your word is final. if you will it , i beg of you. tell mother i am to remain here with you. i promise i will be of use. if mother gets to remain , then i wish the same for myself. ❞
