Two Day Event Celebrating Innovation in Philadelphia
On November 30th and December 1,2012 Philadelphia Magazine will debut ThinkFest, a new event bringing together the region's brightest minds.
Hosted by the Rittenhouse HOtel and open to the public, ThinkFest will feature presentations by thought leaders in medicine, the arts, food, economics, technology and more.
"We're living in an age of innovatio, and nowhere is that spirit more alive than in Philadelphia,: Tom McGrath, Philadelphia magazine's editor. "We're thrilled to bring together the most forward-thinking minds in town for two days of great conversation and dicussion.
"Our region is home to bold thinkers with inventive ideas, and we are committed to building a platform for them to share, educate and inspire," said Mayor Micheal Nutter.
ThinkFest will kick off on November 30th with keynote speaker and celebrated Philadelphia restaurateur Stephen Starr. As an urban planning genius, real estate visionary,and an alchemist of ambiance, Starr has helped make Center City what it is today. That evening will also feature a cocktail reception honoring 52 Innovative Philadelphians, as spotlighted in the NOvember issue of Philadelphia Magazine.
Saturday, December 1st, will feature presentations by an array of thought leaders and visionaries, including renownd cancer researcher Carl H June, venture capitalist Wayne Kimmellll, groundbreaking chefs Michael Solomonov, Marcy Turney, Brad Spence and Aimee Olexy, Center City District head Paul Levy William Penn Foundation president Jeremy Nowak nd WPHT radio personality Chris Stigall.
ThinkFest will engage creators and leaders by spotlighting areas such as social entrepeuship, the global economy, the future of food, the next steps for Center City,Philadelphia's music scene and more.
