got miffed today. not upset, angry, or anything like that. just a lil miffed.
boomer age customer comes up and orders a drink, puts down his own cup. he didn't specify size and the cup he put down I've seen only hold a tall size. so I said "and that's a tall?" and he said "no, grande. heh. surprised you work here and you don't even know what size that is."
at that point I mentally surrendered and just said "Yeah haha idk I don't get a lot of for here cups" and rang him through for a grande.
then the barista got it, read the sticker, looked at the cup, and came over to ask me "hey was this supposed to be a tall? a grande won't fit" to which I said "no, idk just dump out what doesn't fit and tell him that it didn't all fit"
she just nods but makes it and brings it to him without a comment...
I don't think he meant to insult, it was more just an observation he wasn't expecting, but nonetheless I was a lil miffed.
