not the tantrums;
Minhyun was ready to go the ball his Father had invited him to it was another one of his schemes to get him to join the family company seeing the fact that his younger step brother can't play the part. All the smarts had gone to Minhyun and his Father's second wife couldn't even give him a decent son let alone another child. It was all a tragedy but it's not a problem Minhyun's should deal with.
To make this night a little more bearable he had extended the invite to his dearest friend Yihwa, not letting him know any details except the location. Yihwa hadn't even questioned why Minhyun got invited to a ball but he must've felt it's better not to ask. Treaded in a bow tie suit, he made his way to the entrance. The ushers asked Minhyuns name and after matching his name to the names on the list he was allowed to step inside. He wasn’t too interested in the people that casted looks at him as he was waiting for his friend. It was still too early for his arrival so he decided to go further inside and scout the guests, most of them didn't know who he was but he knew who they were. His Father had done a great job of not showing his eldest son to others as far as he's concerned he wasn't even born, because his Father's public profile online doesn't even have his name as his son but he has his step son and step mother on it. It was confusing as to why this was decided and why he had to call himself a long distant son of his Fathers cousin for the longest of time. His father had never told him and because Minhyun hated his guts, he never bothered to ask. Some things are better left unknown.
Minhyun is always on high alert in these type of events, while he was scouting he felt a tug on his sleeve he turned around in a rush. "Wh- Yihwa, you made it!" Boy is it nice to see a familiar face aside from the filthy rich who talk about nothing entertaining. "Did you get here alright? Let's get a drink." He says as he leads Yihwa to the cocktails table with all the drinks already laid out, the two grab a glass each and stand gazing around. Two people near the centre stage which was just a little podium are seen arguing with their son staring from afar, their voices get increasingly louder “You invited him again? How many times do I need to tell you we don’t need him here!” The voices that were chatting quietened down at those words and her words didn’t miss Minhyuns sharp ears, he smiles quietly. Watching someone from the crowd come and tell the couple to keep it down.
What a shame I was born, he thinks to himself.
