HE  CAN’T  RECALL  THE  LAST  TIME  HE  WENT  TO  A  GAME.  on  a  stadium,  around  other  people.    he  is  aware  it  has  been  in  the  40s  and  before  the  war  and  perhaps  that  was  time  enough  for  him  to  realize  it  was  time  to  get  moving.  Pepper  invited  him,  and  it  feels  good  to  be  blended  on  a  sea  of  people  who  don’t  seem  to  recognize  him  (  for  the  time  being  anyway  )  and  being  one  more  of  the  bunch  .  it’s  the  final  minutes  of  the  game  and  they  are  gripping  one  another  waiting  for  the  bell  to  ring  and  call  it  the  victory  it  is.  and  when  it  comes,  the  stadium  burst  into  cheers  of  victory  and  hugs  and  people  celebrating.  he  turns  to  pepper,  mostly,  because  it’s  natural  to  celebrate  with  the  woman  who  invited  him  and  made  him  feel  like  he  was  normal.  it  feels  even  more  normal,  perhaps,  taken  by  the  rush  and  the  joy,  that  he  leans  down  to  press  his  lips  to  her  own  and  bring  her  closer,  as  he  feels  the  cap  he  was  wearing  fall  to  the  ground  as  they  do.

♘ kiss on the forehead

“Aren’t you forgetting something?” Johanna heard Lyss call as she approached the exit of the bar, turning around to face her, confused. The two friends had decided to reunite after work to grab a couple of drinks and catch up. 

The DJ approached to the table the two friends shared for the evening, staring at the blonde askance as she drunkly tried to regain memory of the night, looking for loopholes on their interaction, looking for mistakes. 

Doubtfully, the brunette leaned in, pressing her lips against the other’s forehead, confused by her own actions, panicking whilst she tried her best to analyze what was happening. After a couple seconds, she pulled back, her blue orbs connecting with Alyssa’s confused ones for a brief second before walking again towards the exit, the blonde shaking her head, amused whilst bursting into laughter “Paying your bill you idiot. Honestly, who raised you?”

♣ wiping away tears

“What the fuck?” Jo said half asleep as she opened the door of her apartment to encounter a seemingly upset Lyss, red eyes and puffy nose staring back at her. They had been friends for a few weeks by now, but never in her wildest dreams did Jo imagine she would be standing in front of a crying Alyssa, less alone in the middle of the night on a week day. 

The American girl instantly took off her cardigan, wrapping the fabric around the other’s frame and pulling her in, her blue orbs looking for an answer she was sure she wouldn’t get any other way “You are sworn to secrecy, I couldn’t’ find anywhere else to go” Lyss muttered silently inside of the house, her eyes fixed on the ground, unable to look at the DJ “And no, I don’t want to talk about it” she snapped at the same time Jo opened her mouth to talk, making her gulp. 

“Fair enough” Johanna replied, resting her hands on top of Lyss’ shoulder-blades in silence as a single tear rolled down her pink cheeks. The brunette sighed sadly, grazing her thumb upon her friend’s skin whilst wiping away her tear before pulling her into an embrace, petting her back tenderly letting the other cry away whilst humming “It’s okay. I got you. It’s okay.”
