although his physical senses are heightened considerably in many ways, edward does not have a particularly strong psyche (nor do many vampires, i imagine). his memory is no more improved than it was when he was changed, he is no less susceptible to and tortured by human emotion than anyone else. stoic by nature, sure, but he feels strongly, he forms bonds and attachments, he struggles to maintain particularly old memories and at times he can be forgetful. he grows frustrated (easily, in fact), he laughs, he feels happiness, pleasure, anger, sorrow, all the same as he has ever.
