This is a tale...
Valerie loved Ed. Ed loved Valerie, But neither dared to tell the other.
When Ed passed away, Valerie cried from regret of never letting him know just how much he meant to her.
Sometimes we think we have more time. I know that this is never promised, So I kiss you as much as possible, And inhale your scent every chance that I get.
Most of the time you notice, But enough times, You don’t.
In those moments, I get to smell your fears. I’m allowed to sniff your insecurities.
And they smell so sweet. An inviting odor filled with the warmth of honey-scented rays of sunshine.
Ed woke up from his dream. Ed told Valerie how he felt about her. Valerie suggested he: stop dreaming.
