i remember being fourteen and desperately searching for local lgbtq+ youth groups and trying to broach the topic of sexuality with my so called friends via talking about glee and now marriage equality has been achieved in the republic of ireland and in mainland uk and now all of america and i’m part of northern ireland wide campaign for sexual and gender equality with local meetings, our first public stall in the middle of my tiny town tomorrow, and queer film showings in the near future. and i graduated school the other day and all that hellish horrible torture of growing up queer in a tiny town is slowly but surely starting to lift and while none of this is the be all and end all of equality and there is still so much more fighting to be done and progress to be made i am finally starting to feel supported as a queer person and i’m honestly so excited to see what the future holds for our community.

Life Update:

Buying a car this week. Whoa. Most amount of money I've spent on anything in my life. 

Not that I mind, but it means I'll have to stay with my client for the next six years to pay it off. Although I'm putting an eight thousand dollar deposit that I've saved up it's still going to take me a while to pay the rest of it off so that I have a good credit rating. 

Oh my god guys! I'm buying a brand new, never been used, Car! And it's all mine. I saved up for it all on my own and I'm getting a god damn car!
