i am wanting to practice asatru (the original non-racist version)

and i was researching the language and runes and-

so when we were younger, we were always making english ciphers with symbols that we made up, we never researched them.

but. the norse runes “ᛞᛦᛗᛊᛋᚾᚷᚳᚠᚢ“ ? were all in the main one we used throughout elementary and middle school. we’ve never researched nordic runes, and we didn’t look up any symbols for creating our “language.”

the weirder part was the norse rune for d, ᛞ, was the symbol for d in our “language” ... we’re gonna have to dig up old papers sometimes to find a key or some writing...

anyway that’s fascinating and i’mma go back to looking stuff up
