scoutfangfae:
Fang stepped back into conference room a pile of board games stacked in her arms, warbling this way and that. “Alrighty I got Fairy Twist, Talent-opoly, Sink the Pirate Ship…” She chattered on with her list and somehow managed to progress forward all without spilling the games and their contents. She set all the games down and smiled, “So which one do we play first?” She said as she looked around. Silience and no Nyx…
Fang frowned and then smiled once more, “Oh hide and go seek…I see, well I’ll have you know I’m a pro at this…so come out come out where ever you are….” She began to move around the conference room in a rather sneaking manner before quickly checking….UNDER THE TABLE! >.>…nope….hmmm….The hunt continues…BESIDE THE BOOKCASE! >.>…not their either…hmm….UNDER THE DESK!?…obviously not. “Well, I thought I was good at this game…” Fang murmured to herself. The lack of finding the miniature Nyx made Fang all the more anxious to keep searching, on top of the bookshelf, behind the tapestry, behind the curtain, out the second door leading to- OUT THE DOOR!? It was slightly ajar and leading to the take off point.
“No, no, no, this can’t be happening, I’ve lost baby Nyx…I’ve lost my commander! Oh the scouts are going to kill me this time, if not rip off my wings and feed them to the bats! Bats! BATS! What if she was taken by bats? Or worse hawks!?…Ok Breathe Fang, breathe, in out…just like Nyx taught you, now think…think…th- Oh phooey on this I have to find her!” With that Fang rushed out the door quickly grabbing her belt of throwing knives, bow and quiver and flew off descending downwards and swooping over that of Pixie Hollow.
Surprisingly and much to her relief it didn’t take her very long to find the youngster, heading no doubt to a large pile of blueberries on a car, on what was that!? A noble steed?! She had to fight back the desire to laugh, not that the naive wee one could see her from up in the canopy where she watched her. Fang got a sly smile on her face as an idea popped into it, “So that’s how we’re going to play things hmm little Nyx-y? Well, this should be fun.”
If it was one thing Fang loved to do it was to play games, especially if those games involved ammo of any sort, arrows, daggers, pebbles, snow balls…blue berries. After all ranged attacks were her specialty. She moved quick and with haste into the fresh produce market and then crawled her away between people and slipping behind items til she finally made it to the wagon which she hunkered behind. She snatched a berry and readied it for the toss. She peaked around the wagon, here Nyx came and that silly mouse, aim and FIRE!
“Three! Attaaaaaack!” The little fairy gently hit her heels on the baby mouse's sides with impressing fluency, pointing her hand towards the basket.
The two of them rushed out of their hideout like a knight on her proud steed, matching scowls and the taste of blueberries already on their gluttonous tongues, their appetite only increased by the amount of energies required for their stealthy mission to work out.
Only Nyx had not foreseen a sneak attack. And from her guardian in charge nonetheless. They'd been caught.
“Wait! Wait, stop! Turn around! It's an ambush, it's an ambush!” She screamed as she bent over her furry friend to avoid a particular berry that was flying just above her head.
Ah, she could be smaller than usual, but some of her skills - the ones that made her who she was, and a proud scout girl - weren't totally gone. Although she hardly had control over them in such a small, clumsy, energetic shape.
“Let's split! We'll make her head all fuzzy!”
She flickered herself up the mouse-y, flapping her small wings wildly, hovering with surprising decision towards what looked like...oh, wasn't that a fallen pine cone? That's it! She sheltered behind it, chewing her lower lip as she thought of a way out of that situation. She didn't like being cornered, not even one bit!
“Fang! Stand down from my berries! I saw them first!”
