Christmas is coming! No whouffaldi secret Santa for me, and this year I really wanted to do it…even made my request as early as possible. Unfortunately, tumblr ate my request and I didn’t realize it till it was too late. (If there was anything done about the waiting list, I haven’t heard, so forgive me if I missed it, and I did send one more ask about it to the main blog a couple days ago with no response at all, but I can’t trust that tumblr didn’t eat that as well. I'm going to venture a guess that since it’s just about a week till Christmas, it’s not happening.) So…much frustration when I go to the whouffaldi tag. I was upset about it…still am, to a certain extent, especially since I never got a ss gift last year. I haven’t posted much about it, and I believe the issue is the tumblr functionality rather than the people involved, but it doesn’t make me feel better about it. Neither does “there’s always next year”…at least not yet. Oh well…I may find inspiration to do something artsy and related regardless…or not! Have a lovely holiday!

i just fucking remembered something, alright, so in like 3rd class right it was my first year in ireland but it was like in the middle/nearing the end so i already knew enough english to understand everybody (not even joking tbh, im really good at languages)

so we're doing this thing where we write our names and then write the meaning of it and then decorate the page. the teacher pulls up a website to check meanings and checks everyone's name, when it comes to me i spell mine out and it says 'the polish equivalent to alice' or some shit along those lines

she made me write that bullshit

like i am so mad? people got meanings like 'strong worrior' etc. and i got 'the polish equivalent to alice', i got my polish identity erased, my name isnt the polish version of any of your fucking bullshit, my name is my fucking name??

i was like 7 or 8 at the time!! literally you tell a 7 or 8 year old that their name is just the polish equivalent to something! if that doesn't scream 'you don't belong here' idk what fucking does

i am so mad tbh
