This entire sequence...
Jongho's devastating competence 🥵; him gently but firmly guiding Yeosang to use the fishing rod; cutting back to the studio as San realizes he's completely outmatched; Yunho giving San remedial boyfriend lessons; San sinking into the depths of despair; Yeosang's little grin at the end...
"Will you be my boyfriend?"
—MONSTER NEXT DOOR · Episode 7
Watching episode 5 of Half Man. I'm now convinced Richard Gadd planned a ludicrous operation to fix Jamie Bell's career.
Step 1: Write a script that remixes in the main themes of Jamie Bell's filmography
Step 2: Take a break and write award winning show about personal struggles and turn into a new breakout auteur
Step 3: Send script to Jamie Bell
Step 4: Wait for Kate Mara to tell her husband Jamie Bell to watch fucked up, deeply personal show.
Step 5: Fly to LA to hang out in person and achieve other mission, flirt with befriend Jamie Bell
Step 6: Sell new show to prestige streamer
Step 7: Wait for reviewers to write their usual, best performance of Jamie Bell's career pieces in major newspapers (they literally do this every 5 years)
congratulations to queendom on being the best gl ever 👑👑👑👑

The Silt Verses is everythinggggg. Probably the best podcast I have ever listened to ever and rocketing straight into my top 10 stories I’ve experienced. It’s about aromanticism it’s about amatonormativity it’s about coercion it’s about capitalism it’s about hope it’s about The System it’s about change it’s about politics it’s about nationalism it’s about sacrifice it’s about how life isn’t fair and you’re going to die and that’s not your fault so what are you going to do with your life while you have it. It’s about shrimp.
I have been feeling. bad. about politics today. The Silt Verses is cathartic. And it’s also really really good. And I love Carpenter so much. I hope she comes up for air and washes ashore somewhere with coffee and pancakes. I don’t know if she will. It’s what she deserves. “Deserving” is not what defines what happens in this story.
And I have not yet! I wanted to finish TSV first. But I am very excited.
