it wasn’t exactly rare for him to go overseas as a laison by himself, but considering his..... less than satisfactory track record with such things in the past, it was a wonder why rufus had chosen him for this in the first place. perhaps it was because of the assassin mercenary background that he could always fall back on; perhaps it was because despite everything that had happened since he was taken in all those years ago, the redhead still oozed the natural confidence & subtle air of a predator searching for his prey.

but those weren’t his orders.

the redhead gazed around the strange buildings that now surrounded him, the streets at once reminding him of those back in the kingdom of gaia & yet not at the same time. he probably should have been paying more attention to where he was going, but bringing attention to himself by any means necessary wasn’t exactly on his to-do list. 

somehow, he managed not to instinctively lash out when he bumped into someone, instead throwing them a smirk.
