Image driven publications always slap, I have always loved magazines. I could say I was influenced during my primary school days to read newspapers and magazines. I cant count how many sundays I would rush to the middle of the newspapper to get "The Style" magazine as soon as my father picks up the sunday news. I would say that consuming that publication frequently lowkey moulded my interest into fashion and style now. Although being present in the fashion and style scene at that time would be impossible, I found myself feeding off what i could see in the magazine. I was able to have a grasp of that lifestlye just by my eyes and my imagination, dreaming how I myself could have an impact on culture and the society with my gifts. Flipping through the glossy pages and consuming scenes from Nigerian fashion, arts, and cultural quota through this magazine definitely added to the ingredients to the cake that is my interest in fashion media. Through growing interests, I have found myself being intereted in other publications like the business of fashion, vogue, gida journal, etc. These publications therefore give me a big sense of inspiration. My passion lies in creating spaces where cultural identity is not only embraced but uplifted, by promoting a safe space that thrives on diversity and authenticity for all. I hope to do this by expressing my talents on project stacked and further publication dreams. That is what drives me.
