A HEADCANON: she secretly loves watching henry work and learning about what he has to teach about all his different inventions (when he isn’t too distracted to actually do the teaching).

A HEADCANON PT 2: she likes shadowhunter lullabies and stuff for no particular reason and i have no reason myself as to why i like this headcanon but i do. when will and jessamine and jem and all them first came to the institute she knew they had their traumas so sometimes she would pass by their rooms, linger a bit, and start singing outside the door so that they could calm down and sleep better (bc knowing jessie and will they never would have let her actually go in their rooms and sing them to sleep, but they appreciated it all the same).

OVERALL OPINION: charlotte branwell deserves more attention!! i’ve already said this in another post but this absolute queen raised three children at once when she was hardly even an adult. not only children, but shadowhunter children which is like 110% worse. and she was the first female consul and she fought tooth and nail before that to keep her institute position. and she fought tooth and nail to protect her loved ones. and she fought tooth and nail to do what needed to be done no matter what other people said. so in conclusion: give this woman the respect she deserves.

OVERALL OPINION: cecily herondale is a badass icon who also has a rounded personality that includes her protective and caring nature, her spunkiness, and her sharp wit. especially impressive for someone who was only in one book. she’s really easy to relate to at least for me and she deserves way more attention in this fandom; her amount of page time is hardly an excuse to not give her any because she still got a developed personality. petition to start a cecily appreciation club can be found here,
