i swear to god all my friends were just as messy and confused and unprepared for life as i was and then one day i woke up and everyone i grew up with had a full time job, an apartment, a drivers' license, and a long-term relationship, and i still can't even get my boss to call me the right name and my social calendar is mostly going to target with my mom

and i mean i know it's wrong to compare myself, that we're all on different timelines, but i feel the way i felt when i was twelve and suddenly everyone had moved on from toys and nickelodeon to dating and wearing makeup - like i didn't get the memo and now i've fallen behind
