ALRIGHT FRIENDS: New entries are now officially closed!!
However, if you’ve previously contacted me about your piece and still need an extension, you have until August 7th to get your piece in. I aim to have the pdf released by the 10th, or the 14th at the latest. :D
If you need something further than that please contact me ASAP to work something else out, if possible.

TOMORROW’S THE DEADLINE, FRIENDS. <3
But I’ve had some people contact me yesterday and today asking about joining in, and after some consideration (and lack of forethought on my part, whoops), I’ll make it so that tomorrow is the deadline for JOINING UP. We’ve had several people needing extensions, so while getting your piece finished as early as tomorrow would be super appreciated, I understand!! Work and real life can be a bummer.
If you have yet to contact me about an extension but still need one, August 7th will be the hard deadline for finished pieces. If you still need an extension beyond this, please contact me ASAP and we’ll try to work something out.
And of course, the biggest thank you ever to everybody who has submitted a piece so far. YOU’RE ALL THE COOLEST. <3 <3 <3

WAY PAST COOL // Three weeks left !??!
Hey, friends!! Sorry for the radio silence, my job swung back into full time rather abruptly and I’ve been super burnt out, but I am back and things are amazing. You all have been wonderful and patient with me and I gotta say there is some goddamn beautiful pieces being submitted! <3 The writing has also been fantastic. I’m so excited to get this all assembled together!!
THIS IS YOUR OFFICIAL FIRST REMINDER: all submissions will be due on July 29th!!! If you need an extension or have to work something out, just contact me! I’m very flexible but if you don’t message me before the due date I’m going to allow others to pick up your “slots,” so to speak.
Second reminder: the zine is still open to ideas and submissions, and to people of any and all skill levels in both visual arts and writing!!
Also if anybody wants to do more than one page, just talk to me about it and we can likely work something out. I’m all for making this the most ridiculous Sonic fanzine ever. If you wanna do a ten page comic.. well, that’s a bit overkill, but 2-3 pages wouldn’t be all that bad. :D (Plus, a ten page comic would be a mini zine in its own right!)
Lastly, and I know I say this a lot, but: if you have any questions PLEASE don’t hesitate to ask! I’m available on Twitter, Tumblr or my main Tumblr, and via e-mail (addyquill at gmail) at basically all times. :D If you HAVE asked me a question and I haven’t gotten back to you by tonight, I somehow did not receive it -- please try again!!
It’s super tacky but something that I lived by at one of my old jobs; the only bad question is the one you didn’t ask. It’s true! There’s no such thing as a bad or silly question if it clarifies even the smallest detail for you. Please please please don’t hesitate to join in if you’re scared of coming across as silly or like you didn’t read the rules well enough. <3 I’m not the best at explaining things sometimes, so I totally get it.
Status update: YEAHHH
Five or six pieces have been submitted so far and we’re pushing 30 participants. This is way more than I would have expected and I’m not going to close the doors - it’s NEVER too late to submit your idea! (The deadline will be flexible if necessary, within reason of course!)
