Name: Thomas
What: Cambion
Children: Rebecca and Nathaniel
Current Location: Larose, Louisiana
Thomas had always known that Rebecca and Nathaniel were his, but he also knew their mother was doing her best to protect them, so he stayed away. Or, at least, he had tried to. Nathaniel had taken after his mother more, had no real pull towards magic, got sick as easily as a human. He had not been surprised to learn that his daughter had gone and made a deal for her brother’s life.
The girl had been destined for hell already, but her going that route had tied his hands. With his son, he had been able to use what connections he had, had been able to spare him the darker parts of the place. He was the one that pushed for Rebecca to be trained for the crossroads as well. Lucky for him, Grayson had always been a bit of a pushover.
It had given him the chance to get close to her, waiting to see what she would do before making his move. Thomas had been pleasantly surprised to find her throwing herself so easily to magic and had offered to teach her. After all, who better to show her the ropes than her own father?
He never told her who he was, thinking it better to let her believe the man that had raised her was her one and true father. It had hurt, sure, but Rebecca was already volatile at best, quick to fight, stubborn. Outspoken in a way her mother never had been. In a way most women were not for the time. It was a point of pride for him, to know that his little girl was so strong willed and untamable. He knew she would cause trouble no matter where she went and he was looking forward to see how she handled hell.
He’s kept decent tabs on her, has had Sorin keeping him filled in for centuries. Next to no one knows his connection to the exiled trouble maker more commonly called Cordae. Not even Sorin knows but he has his suspicions. No, Thomas isn’t sure he ever wants her to know. But he does enjoy knowing she’s alive and well, that she has a family that loves her and that her spirit had never been able to be broken.
He’s still extremely proud of his daughter.
