Niagara is another game that I think is sadly under-rated in the community. Players are racing to collect gems on the banks of the Niagara River while risking falling over the falls. The trick is that the speed of the falls is constantly changing pushing players closer and closer to the edge. Canoes lost to the falls are expensive to replace so play safe. This one combines a lot of fun mechanisms bit is still fairly b ready b to b teach: pick-up-and-deliver, hand management, set collection, simultaneous action selection, with a very strong element of push-your luck. Includes a great mechanism where players can predict (aka "influence") the wind and river speed that provides a level of meanness and player interaction. Makes for an exciting, tense game.
