Flufftober day 5: “Oh no, you’re a Morning Person”
Today’s prompt was a bit challenging as I imagine neither Loki or fem!reader in my stories is much of a morning person. But, to facilitate I have instead again dipped into the pool of rambunctious energy that is uncle Thor, who I’ve always imagined to be much like a golden labrador in the mornings, with way too much energy for anyone's good, but just too damn cute to resent him for it.
So Loki and reader have decided to take a well deserved week away from everything, and travel to stay with uncle Thor in New Asgard. The very first morning, however, does not go as you have planned.
Flufftober Prompt 3: “Oh no, you’re a Morning Person”
Pairing: Loki x fem!reader visiting uncle!Thor
Warnings: none. Fluffy fluff fluff.
A/N: After the fall of the TVA a Variant of Loki managed to survive Thanos’ attack on the Statesman. After the events of Infinity War, he met you, and finally got his happily ever after. These are the stories of that ever after.
“Rise and shine, love birds, it is a beautiful day in New Asgard!” Thor barged into the room and tore open the curtains, releasing the always present and impossibly bright norwegian summer sun into your room. “I have a full day planned for us, first I have cooked us some breakfast, nothing fancy of course, just pancakes and bacon and hashbrowns and of course some berries and oh oh, this freshly squeezed juice that you are just going to love, you’re never going to guess the secret ingredient and…”
As Thor continued to ramble on you pressed your face into Loki’s armpit and pulled the pillow on top of your head.
“What time is it, brother?” a sleepy Loki mustered, lifting his hand up in a feeble attempt to guard his eyes from the sun.
“Oh, it’s six! Truthfully, I had planned to wake you an hour ago because I have so much planned for us, but I thought you might want a little bit of a sleep in.”
“Six is a sleep in?” you muttered into Loki’s armpit, and he flinched from your tickling breath.
“Really brother, you don’t have to go to any trouble for us, we are more than happy to just…” Loki started. He was cut off by the overzealous Thor, who interrupted gleefully.
“Oh, no trouble, I mean, it is a treat to have you visit and I have planned a lot of very interesting activities. I want to of course show you around the place, the King has made so many improvements since your last visit and..:”
“Please, make him stoooooop,” you whimpered as Thor droned on about his plans for you.
“I would if I could, dear…” Loki whispered and adjusted himself. “Regrettably, in my experience, once he gets this excited about something, there really is nothing to stop him…”
“And then I have planned a little hike, nothing long just a few, three, four, five hours max, a bit far maybe, but the view is absolutely worth it and..”
“Brother, might we… have a moment to dress?” Loki requested.
“Oh, oh, but of course, I actually need to.. Go check on the pie, I made this darling little blueberry pie, from blueberries I picked myself, you are absolutely going to love it, I..:”
“Yes, yes. Of course. Come down when you are ready.”
As soon as Thor was through the door, Loki slammed it shut with his seidr. With another flick of his wrist he closed the curtains and pulled you into a cuddle.
“Oh thank God…” you exhaled, and burrowed your nose into Loki’s neck. You sighed blissfully and relaxed into him. That is, until a horrifying thought crossed your mind. You propped yourself against your elbow and looked Loki in the eyes. With horror in your voice you asked:
“Was that his plan for the week?”
Loki’s compassionate look confirmed your fears to be true. You didn’t need him to reply, but he shook his head and did:
“No dear. That was his plan for this day.”
“Noooooooooooo….” you cried, burrowing your face in his neck, as Loki tightened his grip around you enveloping you in a commiserating embrace.
