Hebra comic, you say? I am all ears.
YAY! wip ask game!
The Hebra comic was one installment of a RWTM slice-of-life/ monster-of-the-week-esq fan comic that revolved around Zelda, Link, and Jeweled traveling to Hebra to investigate ice wizrobes.
( I only got as far as some preliminary panel Sketches/Dialogue and i drew it around the beginning of 2022 before TOTK came out)
It mainly explored how the relationship between the three characters had evolved after the main fic storyline. Jeweled and Zelda having a friendly rivalry about monster knowledge. (rough panels below)
and Zelda calling Jeweled “sappy" (for Link).
Jeweled is unfamiliar with the term so he denies it
He then makes goo goo eyes at Link when the Hylian takes out a Hebra Rhino with one arrow and gifts Jeweled the head. Zelda smirks :3.
Something something. Jeweled and Link almost freeze to death. Zelda gets kidnapped by wizrobes who telepathically communicate with her via magic about a problem they're having. Beedle is probably the culprit somehow.
Maybe he took all their ice rods to re-sell.
Orrrrrrr... its revealed the ice rods are shards of a larger crystal that's integral to the wizrobes and the cold enviornment in Hebra, which got taken or damaged.
I like the idea that these little monster vigniettes follow the themes established in the fic, that these creatures/beings are far more complex and integral to their ecosystem than hylians initially believe. There's a whole other world happening.
