       he  looks  from  the  container  to  her  before  his  gaze  sticks  back  to  the  baked  good.  if  it  can  even  be  called  that.  ❝  starvation  -----  better  or  worse  than  fruitcake?  ❞  he’s  always  hated  it  ----  refuses  to  actually  claim  it  as  a  cake  because  it’s  a  straight  up  abomination  -----  but  the  apocalypse  is  all  about  embracing  what  you  hate  right?

Bree has just finished a rubgy game and now she’s riding on the post-adrenaline bliss of it all. Her wolf loves being spent. She lounges on the hill side of the park beside her friend (amateur, local game, no one came to watch except for those already out walking their dogs). She’s sweat-soaked and takes a swig from her water bottle. “You’ve got me beat. I get chewed out every year because I can’t remember my own damn anniversary.”
