Steven Universe AU Headcanons

Hennah’s gemsona is Jade
Nola’s gemsona is Morganite, or Morgan for short
Jade’s solid, green gem is placed on her forehead and is diamond shaped. Despite the fact that she comes off as a rough and intimidating fighter, Jade is eager to learn from others and improve her skills. She lives by the motto: “Knowledge is power”, and her gem is associated with wisdom.
Morganite’s clear, pink, heart-shaped gem is placed over her heart. This links to the fact that she’s very compassionate towards others. Her gem is associated with Divine Love.
Jade’s weapons are big, jade encrusted brass knuckles. Her fighting style may come off as brute, but every move is well thought out.
Morganite’s uses her bladed fans to fight. When closed, Morgan throws them at her foe like a dagger. Since she’s deaf, her other senses are enhanced, resulting in great aim, among others.
The death of Morganite’s ‘brother’, Heliotrope, has influenced Jade’s behavior greatly. Unlike Morgan, Jade now finds it hard to completely open up to new people and only seems to show affection and complete trust towards Morgan. This makes it slightly hard for her to fuse with other gems.
Morgan mostly communicates with her gem. She literally ‘speaks’ from the heart. This power can be associated with Pearl’s holograms, but unlike Pearl, Morgan can only share her own thoughts and no memories.
The fusion between Jade and Morganite is called Tourmaline
Morganite and Jade left the Homeworld after Heliotrope’s death. The cruelty on the Homeworld didn’t match with their ideologies and they decided to travel the universe together.
What I Have So Far:
Will's family moves into the NY Institute after the Lightwoods have moved out either because another one of their kids died or they're just really sick of it.
Jem's also moved into the neighborhood recently. His father has become the new Inquisitor (or another fairly high up job), meaning he is unable to continue teaching Jem about the Shadowhunter ways himself. Will's family decides to teach Jem to help him out, as his wife also recently died (??? - both of those are contrived, I'm aware).
Will's siblings are reincarnations of Jessamine and possibly Thomas.
A preview of my new story...
They say that it was too easy to lie. That nobody could be honest. Everyone was living their own lie. They were pretending to be something they were not. The year is 2510. About 500 years ago they said the world ended. But did it? If we were still standing? Some people would say that. But history repeats itself. Its a giant loop that we can't get ourselves out of.
