   The guitarist sighed to herself as she tapped on her cellphone to hang up. She thought this was going to be a really big break, but maybe her optimism was a little too high. Hell, everyone was! Which made the news she just got even more of a downer. Apparently some other band got it instead and Brenda thinks she knows why.

   “...Maybe it’s the salt talkin’, but I heard the lead band’s manager have some nephew who just so happens to have’a band too...just throwin’ that out there.”

his  bouts  of  laughter  cap  in  the  container  of  his  diaphragm ;   the  question  of  theirs  acts  like  a  lid  to  keep  them  there.   easy  to  say  he  did  not  expect  something  so  serious  to  come  up.     ❛   uh ?  chains ?   ❜  his  look  of  brief  confusion  dissolves  into  a  smile.       ❛  that  sounds  really..  bad !   not  chains,  i don’t  think.  more  like,  hmm,  coasting.   ❜  (   got to  maintain  a  cool  persona,  after  all.   )

     “Ugh...well that was a dumb idea.” It probably was not the most well thought out idea to try fishing for wishing coins in a park fountain. Nonetheless, she went through with it anyway and ended up finding a good deal of coins. Until some random adult took her out of the fountain and made her dump all of the coins, even the ones that were actually hers from before she came.

    They tried to sit her down in a police box and look for her parents, even questioned her about their whereabouts. However, she just shapes shifted when no one was looking at her and ran off into a bush nearby. When she thought the coast was clear the cat child shape shifted back, but realized there was woman sitting on a bench close to the bush she was in. “Hey, lady--laaaady. You didn’t see any bizzies roaming around here, right?”

“   dude !  that isn’t the case this time.  this time, it---   it’s different,  okay ?  let’s go.   “
