BLACKPINK [ dimitri & sylvain ]

In Faerghus, everything was mostly blue. Sometimes teals, sometimes greens, with a tinge of red and black in its north- but the national color was considered to be a slightly dulled royal blue. It was in the flag, the banners, clothes, the palace itself was a beautiful array of whites, silvers and blues. Dimitri liked blue, because at this point that color was essentially part of who he was. Because other colors just felt too off with the Kingdom’s posture and customs, because golden yellow was a reminder of a wound too recent in history books and crimson was an old, dull pain many still felt to this day.
It made him feel a bit funny, standing amidst all these now pink trees. He had never expected trees to do this, shift from a healthy green color to soft hues of pink and white- beautiful, delicate, almost ethereal in a way, like a dream.
A dream he wished he could experience one day, because the idea just sounds so peaceful and nice.
The prince continued to walk, sometimes kneeling to grab a fallen pink leaf from the ground so he could take a closer look. The area itself looked almost romantic- he wondered if somewhere, courting the love of your life underneath these pink clouds was seen as a romantic tradition of sorts. Because in Faerghus, the most romantic thing you could do was to gift your loved one with a special blade.
Faerghus was to be survived, not lived.
A low branch poked at his head- one that belonged to a huge tree that was pink like the rest. Except...it had ribbons?
“Hopes and dreams, these are.”
Dimitri’s head snapped to the side, eyes meeting a merchant lady with a huge sack on her back.
“Hopes and...dreams? Huh…” All ribbons were the same pastel pink that matched the tree’s leaves, swaying gently with the wind. Distracted with their beauty, the prince failed to notice how the lady was going on and on about love and fate- then she pushed a pink ribbon on to his hand and left.
“Wa- wait, hold on! Please come back...here.” The little lady was gone. Instead, nearby he saw someone else amidst the pinkness. Flaming red hair.
“Sylvain? Oh, uh...did you see that merchant lady...?”
