     Lucian really didn’t want to go on some double date with his girlfriend. In fact, he wasn’t sure if she would still be considered a girlfriend... They hardly ever went on dates in the first place. He felt like they were more... like acquaintances, if not friends.

     He gazed down at the menu, wondering how terribly the evening would go. At the very least, he found someone interesting-- the other couple finally arrived. The other girl... seemed quite cute. She honestly was the only reason why he’d even look up across the table.

     “My... name’s Lucian,” he finally said, after a long silence, a faint smile playing on his features.

      The woman beside him was practically dancing in her seat-- he would likely be able to tell, even if his eyes fell upon any area near her. She told him this outing would be something like a double-date. Though from what she told him, he thought of it more as a get together that he was dragged to. As he waited for the other couple to arrive, his mind, active as ever, came up with numerous questions about the date was well as his girlfriend’s old friend.

     For one, why couldn’t they just meet up without him having to tag along? It’s not as if he would be a big part of the conversation. In fact, he figured that’d he’d just drift off to the side, silently eating pasta or some other mediocre dish the restaurant would serve.

     Second, what would his girlfriend’s friend even think of him? Not to mention their date as well. He was a peculiar character, really, and even he admits to it at times. Though perhaps... not aloud.

     Hearing two people approaching, he gazed up at them and flashed a warm smile as a greeting.

     ❝Bonjour,❞ he said. ❝’ow are you two?❞
