Zakary felt odd, walking around in the mall. Despite it having been the fourth time so far, he still couldn’t get over how huge and noisy it was. Yet, at the same time, he thought it was brilliant. Everything in one place, no need to walk through the rain to get from store to store. No need to run to the other side of the city for food and the other for clothing. He could get everything here. He was looking around with a longing for something, but he wasn’t sure what. He had snatched one of the maps at the entrance, and stared from the map to the stores.
Not that the words told him much, some of the stores had such strange names that he kept on switching back between registering and forgetting. He was so stuck in this routine that he didn’t notice when someone came sharply from the left and walked right into her.
“Hey sorry,” he said quickly, side-stepping. “Sunmi?”
