nick was doing his daily rounds, which he occasionally did by foot but today wasn’t one of those days. today, he decided to maneuver through the park trails. he went slow, mostly so that he could make sure he didn’t miss anything. it was quiet today. the weather wasn’t necessarily rainy but it was gloomy and cloudy so these were the days people stayed home, just in case it did decide to rain. he stopped though when he noticed a girl ahead and jumped out of his jeep once he put it in park and moved toward her. what he saw, he knew a human couldn’t do it but....whatever she was, it couldn’t be real, right? witches and things like that were only things that were in movies, he thought. maybe he was just being crazy though. maybe he was imagining things or maybe he wasn’t. he blinked, a couple of times, and finally spoke up. “excuse me, ma’am.” he spoke up and tilted his head to one side. “what are you doing?”
