Billie was still as she tried to wrap her head around what she had just happened. Everything had happened so quickly, she still hadn’t fully processed it all. One minute her mother was there, yelling at her and calling her all the things she had heard before. Now, her mother was on the ground, dead and bleeding, with Cassidy... drinking from her?
❝Cassidy? Cassidy, what are you doing?❞ she suddenly yelled running over and pulling him away from her mother’s corpse. She wasn’t sure what her emotions were doing, was she upset that he killed her mother? Or was she upset because he was acting like a savage beast?
