Starter for: Max Goldstein @themaxgoldstein Where: Knockturn Alley When: night
Something about Max drew Bellatrix forward. Usually more likely to state her presence, she stepped instead with quiet intent. Keeping to the shadows was hardly difficult - this was Knockturn Alley, after all. Lanternlight flickered through the dusty air, launching even darker shades of black against the mottled walls. Hood up and stare sharp, she paused as he slowed down and didn't hurry to conceal her presence. Merely stopping by a shop front, she smiled slyly, eyes glinting with reckless interest, though for what, she was not yet sure. He simply seemed to have a furtive way about him and she had absolutely no idea who he was. London was hardly a small place. She couldn't possible know everyone. But still, Bellatrix did not like being ignorant, especially not in these streets, which she knew so very well.
The door to the shop opened with a clanging chime, the shopkeeper asking if she'd like to come in. She looked at him for a second, dismissing the invitation in a tone that left no room for misinterpretation. Then she turned, hoping her new intrigue hadn't managed to flee in her distraction.
