Lyle smiles faintly “You better, no holding it all in ok?” He warns Tieria in a lighthearted tone. “I’ll do my best not to get too competitive.” Lyle mentions, referring to his brother. It was certainly a habit he wouldn’t get over easily but at the very least he could try not to show it as much. “You know.. I could really use some coffee about now..care to join me?”
Tieria nodded and sighed for relief. Maybe this would be okay. Maybe it would actually work out. Maybe, just maybe, he wouldn't have to sit and watch as everyone else split off into romantic pairs that may or may not follow the unhealthy popular ideal of how relationships were supposed to work and leave him to eventually fade into the background, alone, not even noticed by anyone but a child who seemed to have a crush on him. Maybe.
There was still an uncomfortable feeling in the pit of his stomach as he wondered if that was the only reason he wanted this, but for now, he put it out of his mind to the best of his ability.
"All right. Let's go."
If nothing else it was pleasant now.
