@goreverine | Aurora & Akihiro
✨ -- Jeanne-Marie kept on thinking about Akihiro’s comments that she dressed like a Sunday school teacher. How to tell him that she used to live in a convent, on the path to become a nun, before she gave it up to join her twin brother out in the world? How to tell him that she used to be a teacher in a religious orphanage? His comment had hit so close to home, yet a little off. She was in her room, door ajar, standing in front of her dresser. She looked at herself in the mirror. This would be so much easier if she could just be a little more like her alter - but this was not Aurora’s moment, it was Jeanne-Marie’s.
She started toying with her hair, putting it up in a bun, letting it down, shifting her part from one side to the other. “Nothing fits anymore,” she mumbled, setting the brush down. If she was being observed, she wouldn’t notice unless the person spoke up. She had spent the last thirty minutes too self-absorbed to be aware of her surroundings.
