One of the first things Faris had done -- after “settling in” to the best of his ability, which truth be told wasn’t very much -- was try to find the sea. He’d been to a distant world before; learning a new area, a new shore, wasn’t a concept too strange for him to wrap his head around. But the last thing he remembered was defeating Neo Exdeath and the fear that the void would consume their world -- and then darkness. Blacker than the void itself.
He’d tried to yell for Lenna, but no voice had escaped him.
And then he’d woken up in this city. In this “Spirale”. A world untouched by the void, if it were even truly a world at all.
A true pirate will always be drawn back to the sea. And so to the sea he went.
He had no boat. No crew. He had no idea where Lenna, Bartz, and Krile could be. It wasn’t even the same seas, he knew, but it was... something. It was all he had.
--a flash of movement out of the corner of his eyes had Faris whipping his head around, something about the movement and the brightness playing tricks on his mind for just a second, but it was a second too long.
“Lenna--!”
His voice fell flat suddenly. No, it... wasn’t. Perhaps for the better. If anyone had survived, Faris would want it to be Lenna. She had a kingdom that needed her, after all. Too young and radiant to die, to be tugged away here like he’d been.
“Ah--apologies, lass.” Traveling had had quite the effect on him, hadn’t it, that his first instinct for this was to apologize now, eh? “Thought you were someone else for a moment.”
