DAMI COULD NEVER TURN DOWN a friend in need. this friend just happened to be a friend that dami had been crushing on for as long as they had known one another. he was more than happy to let them crash at his place for as long as they needed, even at the (potential) expense of his own feelings. dami was making dinner, dancing and singing along to whatever was blasting through the speaker, when he glanced over his shoulder and grinned, "are you mocking me?"

DAMI KNEW THERE WAS A CHANCE this was going to backfire. he knew he lived his life by the precarious philosophy of act first, think later but sometimes it worked out in his favor. sometimes. hopefully this would be one of those times. after the quick text exchange, along with the request to pack a bag with a few changes of clothes and other necessities, the person in question was making their way toward his car. "what's with the face?" dami grinned, reaching over to pop the door open, "we're going on an adventure, there are no frowns on adventures."

he knew from experience that the worst part after a breakup was all of the time alone. time alone meant more time to think and ruminate and spiral until it led to binge watching romcoms at midnight and shoveling through a pint of ice cream. or maybe that was just him. either way ⏤ getting taylor out of the house still feels like the least he can do. "no it doesn't, it looks like this," he pouts dramatically. "no corn mazes, got it," his face shifts to overly serious so quickly, nods sharply, "but i have something way better than a corn maze in mind. do you not trust me?"
