Painter’s Medium

Since moving to the island, Tove hadn’t really done much other than work, home, sleep and whatever was being streamed to her TV. She wanted to do more than just those things on repeat. It finally was a day off for the girl so she ventured out to the shopping areas. Wandering around she found an art store, and the interest got the best of her. As the doors opened she was surrounded by so many different styles of hobbies - or careers in some cases. There was fabric, yarn, vinyl - bead work. Even decorating supplies and chocolates for baking.
The yarn section was a tad overwhelming. There were too many yarns and there were tools that she didn’t know how to use. So she opted for the paint. That was easy enough, you just need the supplies and you let your brain and hand work together to paint what the brain says, right? She convinced herself it was easy, but now what did she want to paint?
It wasn’t long before the girl got overwhelmed at the paints. Oil? acrylic? Water based? They were all so different, what was she supposed to use? Did it matter what kind of canvas was used in that case then? What about brushes? Letting out a sigh of frustration she looked around only to shy away - there was someone else there. “Sorry - I’m new at this…I thought painting was going to be easy.”
