"will you sit still?"

rory noticed once that the doctor doesn't get injured often. he and amy get bumps and scrapes all the time, the odd sprained wrist or minor concussion. it's why he started collecting medical gear wherever they go. sometimes they just don't have time to wait for twenty-first century medicine to take effect.

but the doctor leaps from adventure to adventure with nary a scratch. rory's always just figured that his alien biology means he takes less damage, and heals faster when he does. it's never really been an issue before today.

today they're stuck in a cell. rory's not particularly worried about that, because he figures that the doctor will figure something out. or, more likely, amy and river will find them. either way, it's not his biggest problem right now.

his biggest problem isn't even the wound in the time lord's shoulder. it's that he can't get him to sit still while rory patches him up.

"doctor! you're only going to make it worse, you know."

Another long jump made Shulkie dizzy, but there was no time to take a break. She had to run from Bruce apartment as fast as possible. It was hard to stay in control when her head was still pounding with pain. There weren't many people who could surprise her with an attack like this woman, but what angered Jennifer, even more, was the way she lured her into the trap. The wound on her temple started to bleed again- it seems like trying to remain herself somehow blocked the healing factor. She highly doubted in the possibility to turn to be Jennifer again, at least not now, when Shulkie was so rabid. The situation was bad, and she needed some medical help. A little patching up could calm her enough to get back to the human form.

Dragging Lee into her personal problems was the last thing Jennifer wanted, but choosing the hospital wasn't an option. When she finally found the address of the clinic her friend texted her, Jennifer knocked on the door. "Before you start panicking- it's still me, Jen." she pointed at her head. "I didn't want to bother you, but I could use a few stitches."

 For a man regularly hailed for being remarkably pedestrian, she couldn't help but think that Stahl was phenomenally kind. If it were from anyone else but their designated healers, perhaps she would have declined the offer. After all, the injuries she sustained from the battle were relatively menial: some topical scrapes, and a single light gash decorating her left arm--she would have preferred to do it herself. But making an uncommon exception, Robyn seated herself on the cot obediently, tugging at her bangs. "Ah, um... okay. Thank you."

Perhaps it was his demeanor? He might have said something once before, she thought to herself, about apothecaries; his home to which she hoped he would return to when the battle was through. At the time, she hadn't thought too heavily about it. But even despite his usual passivity, sitting here, she couldn’t help but feel compelled to do exactly as he told her to. It was a bit baffling. "What about you, Stahl?"
