Lucifer has lived in this world for billion of years. He has repeated the same time loop over and over again. Each ending with a despicable apocalypse of his own accidental creation. He didn’t know he was setting into motion something so hideous and yet... Yet he managed to anyways. Not until he awoke to realize that he, himself, was Satan. He recalled living so long ago, in a world that was much crueler than the one that existed now. Dinosaurs, demons, beasts of unimaginable horror which existed during the Mesozoic era. That was his memory. That was his recollection. A world so far back, so long gone. And then... In a blink of an eye... it’d be back to the start. He never understood why his father, God, never killed him. He never understood why when he was struck ‘dead’ by that meteor in the arms of his beloved a good sixty six million years ago, at least, why they didn’t let his soul just wither away and become an ordinary human with no special abilities. Wasn’t death enough of a punishment?
He was free of his torment now... And now he was quietly ruling over Hell. He had dominion over Earth too, but that was more because he has learned to love and care for Earth since his punishment. Since he lost Akira and Amon. He hardly intervened in Earth, or it’s history. He watched as life formed on it’s own, as mankind rose up, as Adam and Eve came to exist, and finally as civilizations began to take shape. He saw wars, plagues, betrayals, and the fall of kingdoms. He saw it all unravel, a watchful angel that sat in the background. Sure he spoke to man, but for the most part he was just a mysterious stranger that nobody knew about. Nobody knew that he was truly the devil that their bibles taught them to fear. Not that they’d believe it anyways. He didn’t have cloven hooves or great big horns... He was an angel, a beautiful one, in fact God created him to be the most beautiful of Heaven. Why was it such a shock, then, that he wasn’t an abomination to behold.
Often times the woodlands were where people could find him, curled up on himself, wings cocooned about him... He often times would bask in a faint warm ray of light, or sleep at the bottom of a lake, regardless he would be a specter to behold. Humans have stumbled across him in such a state, and they ran back home to tell about how they saw an angel in the woods. When they brought their friends back, he’d be long gone. It was always when he was found at the bottom of a lake that people really began to make stories. ‘The lady of the lake’ they’d call him... How foolish. It was one of these days, as he rested the day away as he much preferred the night, that he met, for the first time in along time, a denizen of the woodlands. Fae weren’t necessarily easy to find, and Ryo has encountered them in the past, same with nymphs, but he wasn’t ever looking for them. On occasion he’d see them move past, a sparkle in the corner of his eye, but for the most part the mythical creatures he tend to seek out would remain to be dragons... Nothing else. He had no need to interact with forest spirits. But he wouldn’t be cruel if one decided to approach, something very unlikely.
That’s why, when he awoke from his slumber to see one staring at him, he was surprised. “Who... are you?” He inquired, stretching out his wings as he lay upon the ground. He wondered has this entity ever seen an angel before? Have any other angels other than him shown up on this planet? He wondered...
