thalia stared up at him with wide eyes. guilt for something she hadn’t even done eating away at her so bad. it was all a huge misunderstanding. he happened to catch her at the wrong time in a very compromising position with one of her colleagues and it was safe to say that he was no pleased at all. neither was she, which is why her usually chatty demeanor was replaced by a meek and humble one. she’d been sitting on the bed, just waiting for him to say something about it. the silence was torturing her, and she much rather preferred loud voices over this intense staring contest that only added to the pounding of her heart. “say something...”

thalia was bored out of her mind. with her flight back home getting delayed hour after hour for three hours now, she was running out of things to occupy herself with. if only she had listened to her colleagues when they were trying to persuade her to book a later flight, then perhaps she could still be touring the city and not be sitting on the uncomfortable airport waiting lounge bench. as she scrolled mindlessly through her phone apps, the female somehow ended up on tinder, chuckling to herself as she began swiping left on pretty much every profile that came along. online dating wasn’t really her thing, which was ironic considering her whole career was dependent on her being online. “ouch, hard no for that one?” an unfamiliar voice spoke out from behind her, causing her head to quickly snap around. cheeks blushed hard and eyes grew wide when she realized it was the very person she had swiped right on just moments before. “no way!” a laugh escaped her lips, eyes gleaming with amusement at the huge coincidence.
