Lexie breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Ryleigh standing at the nurses station on the peds floor.  Not Nathan.  Excellent.  She must have been the one to page for a neuro consult, and Derek had asked her to go and report back with any questions.  “You paged?” Lexie asked the nurse practitioner.

Levi finished his end of shift paperwork and headed across the street to Joes.  He wasn’t in the mood to go home and have his mom ask about his day and what type of surgeries he had performed.  She always did that.  Levi plopped down onto a stool and ordered a beer.  “How was your day?” he asked the person next to him, trying to make polite conversation.  He needed to make more friends.  He needed to branch out.
