When: Just after their meetings with Snow

Her meeting with Snow had thrown her. It had been the first time that she had left her cell. She didn't know how long it was. She should have been grateful to be out of the cell. But the moment she had realised that they were taking her to Snow, it had become her worst nightmare. The words that had been exchanged during the meeting were running through her mind. Would Snow have let her out of the cell if she had denounced Cinna and Peeta? She wasn't so sure.

Portia was also not sure if she could betray them. Could she change her mind about her loyalty to them? She was probably going to lose them regardless. And life without Cinna was not worth living. So, why denounce them? Maybe because they had betrayed her. Cinna had so blatantly committed treason, and right now he was taking her down with him. She was innocent. All she was guilty of was falling in love. Was that so wrong? She should denounce him. It should have been easy. He was a traitor to the world she had loved. But part of her worried that he would hate her if the rebellion was successful and she denounced him. So she wouldn't.

"Cinna...." She was up at the door of her cell, looking across at his cell, hoping, praying, that he was there. "Are you there?" I need you.

Where: Captiol Cell Block

When: Who knows. Day 4 after the arena break out

It could have been days. It could have been hours. Portia had no clue. Her cell seemed to have a mind of it own when it came to the dark. And it certainly didn't match any regular day and night pattern. The darkness would come. And it wasn't a darkness like she was used to, where her eyes adjusted, and she could navigate around. This was total pitch black. She couldn't even see her hand in front of her face. This routinely happened. She had no idea what time it was. And even if she did, she wouldn't have been able to predict where the darkness would come, or for how long. It was inconsistent in both frequency and duration. It left her isolated, and alone, despite being in a corridor with 9 other people.

It was just after oneof these particular darkness sessions where Portia found herself leaning against the wall, just needing to feel close to someone. She'd figured, when it hadn't been dark, that Cinna was directly across from her. Cinna had always brought her comfort. And so, despite not being actually able to be with him, Portia wanted to feel close. So she was leaning against the wall where the door was.

"Cinna?" She called out, her voice quiet. Of course, it wouldn't be a private conversation. But something, anything, would help her right now.
