Jasper made it a p o i n t to stay away from the south. His memories still tortured him, a loop in the back of his mind of everything he had done down here. What Maria had done to him. To be honest, he doesn’t think he’d ever be able to return to a sense of normalcy. So instead, he embraced his inner demon, giving into the monster within.
He winds up in LOUISIANA by accident. Running with no sense of place or direction, he lost himself in the trees. He only stopped when it was time to feed. The vampire was pale skinned, eyes dark with hunger and dark bruising around his eyes. It was time for his next meal.
Jasper found it on the edge of a trailer park, stalking as the sun dipped under the horizon. Easy pickings, or so he thought. As he approached a trailer, something caught him from behind. He was too hungry, too reckless--he hadn’t been paying attention.
A scream made it’s way past his lips as a thick chain of silver moved over his neck and pulled him back. He went stumbling, arms flailing outwards. He’s brought to the ground easier than he’d like to admit, the searing pain of the metal coursing through his body. Eyes are wild, looking at the two that had gotten the jump on him, fangs bared.
The needle’s jabbed into his inner arm without much pretense, they’re quick with their work, letting his lifeblood drain away. Who the fuck were these people?
