Yo-yos are featured in two quilts currently on display in the Denver Art Museum's textile galleries! In the Thread Studio's exhibit Contemporary Takes on Traditional Patterns, the small art quilt Yo-yo Botanica by Faye Anderson uses yo-yo's in an artful way to create a landscape-like image. The second example of yo-yo's is obvious in the main exhibit's (First Glance ~ Second Look) Yo-Yo Quilt. The entire quilt is made up of just yo-yos!
Enjoy the details of both quilts in the image above!
Have you guys seen the Yo-Yo Quilt in the new First Glance ~ Second Look: Quilts from the Denver Art Museum Collection? What exactly is a yo-yo? A small circle of fabric is all you need to create these little gathered puffs, learn how to make them in the video above!
