There are many different stories and meanings behind the seagoat symbol. It represents the duality of capricorn. The upper part, the goat, has the endurance of the goat to navigate the mountain terrain while the fish tail is most comfortable in the mysterious deep waters. Although it is an earth sign, it has the qualities of earth, being grounded and practical and also some qualities of water; it is sensitive, emotional, and profoundly deep. Its water qualities are submerged like the tail in the sea and revealed when they are called for or when the person chooses to reveal them or is in an emotionally charged situation. In Greek Mythology, it represents the Babylonian God Ea. He governs the land during the day and watches over the sea at night. There is a story about the father of all seagoats,Pricus, an immortal who can manipulate time. His children made their way to land to become regular goats. He tried to turn back time to reverse this fate but the same thing happened again. Eventually, he accepted that he cannot control the destiny of his children.
