He was a general fix-it man around Bywater and the Marigny. He parked his van around the corner from The Saturn Bar, and was living alongside all of his tools in his van, where he'd notoriously installed heart-shaped windows along the van's sides. I was soon to learn exactly why the girls all called him “The Thrill Hammer.”
