Thrinax radiata (Arecales - Arecaceae) is a species of palm native to Florida in the United States, Yucatan state in Mexico, Honduras to Nicaragua, and much of the northern Caribbean islands (Bahamas, western Cuba, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Hispaniola, Puerto Rico).
It is a medium sized, solitary, very slow-growing tree or shrub-like fan palm very attractive when young, becoming much taller than broad when mature.
Thrinax radiata is listed as a threatened palm species in Mexico. Habitat loss and local use are the main threat.
