Happy Founders Day @Spelman_College! The elegant and historic Sisters Chapel was dedicated in 1927 and serves as the Spelman College’s main gathering space for convocations, performances, and worship services. Fifty years ago, from April 5 - 8, 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s body laid in state at Sisters Chapel where thousands came to pay their last respects. At that time, there was no other facility that could host this historical moment.
