I appreciate how you write Charles to be a little bit fucked up and evil. Like, he's still a good person, but he's got a darker side and has a lot of moral conflict going on. I haven't really seen people characterise him like that in my time in the fandom.

While true yes I feel like Charles is often like very happy and there’s nothing wrong with it ofc! But I feel like Charles also has like deep struggles inside ! I mean he’s a happy person but sometimes happiness can be used to like avoid being sad

So both Charles and NMD!Charles MAY act different BUT their insecurities are the same :( and that’s “never feeling good enough for others” and Charles tends to go OVER THE TOP for others because they wanna be loved!

That’s why I feel Charles is THAT type of person with MANY emotions because he’s only human!

I’m also ASSUMING he’s killed before bad guys because well- he’s a cop too! I feel like he also has hidden anger to injustice because he wants those around him to be safe and those emotions go BOOM!!!

Charles IS a happy goober and he always will be! But he also has insecurities! He can feel ANGER, SADNESS, ANXIETY, and other tough emotions when his happy meter breaks and honestly that’s so relatable! You can be a very happy person while FEEL unhappy! That’s why I portray with Charles with so many NEGATIVE emotions too because it’s only HUMAN to feel those things.

And in my opinion Charles is a PERFECT example of a person who is HAPPY and full of Joy while feeling DEEP negative emotions in stressful moments because we aren’t robots.

It’s ok to feel emotions Charles and we love you for it ❤️ you’ll always be a good person to us! That’s what makes you a beautiful person ❤️
