‘’Serves them right.’’ He lifted her face with a finger under her chin and kissed the side of her mouth. ‘’I am quite certain that our marriage was beyond political satisfaction.’’ A deep chuckle escaped his lips. ‘’Who am I kidding? Should we care for such a subject?’’

She looked up at him with bright blue eyes, eye lashes fluttering a bit at his kiss. “Sadly, I think duty requires that we must.” She smiled though, a hand reaching out to hold tightly onto his own. “But politics are not the reason why I love you.”
